Bob J. Clements, 80, of Jonesboro died on April 16, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, surrounded by his wife and children. He was born on November 10, 1936, in Pocahontas, Arkansas. Bob was a 1955 graduate of Williford High School and a veteran of the US Army. He was retired after 37 years of employment by Lynn Greene Enterprises Big Star stores and was a member of Christian Valley Christian Church. He enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, spending time at his vacation home in Hardy, and managing his rental property. He was also an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jerry Ann, of the home; one son, Rocky (Lori) Clements of Jonesboro; one daughter, Kelly (Bo) Staggs of Memphis, TN; one grandson, Maxwell Clements of Jonesboro; one brother, Jerry T. Clements of Imboden; and his two puppies, Penelope and Diego.
Serving as pallbearers are Dale Foley, Buck Sharp, Preston Clark, James Nelson, Joe Mansfield and Jim Bryant. Honorary pallbearers are Max Clements and the 1955 graduating class of Williford High School.
Bob’s family will receive visitors at Emerson Funeral Home from 5-7pm Wednesday, April 19, 2017. A graveside service with Harold Russell officiating will be held at 11 am on April 20, 2017 at Friendship Cemetery near Ravenden, Arkansas: 701 Lawrence County Road 128.
