Blondie Mae Mcquay

April 24, 1924 — March 28, 2012

Blondie McQuay, 87, of Jonesboro died Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. She was born in Mountain View, Arkansas and lived most of her life in the Lawrence and Craighead County area. Blondie was of the Pentecostal belief. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl McQuay; sons, J.R. McQuay and Aubry McQuay; and one grandson, Greg McQuay.

Survivors include sons, Paul McQuay, Sam McQuay and Roger McQuay of Randolph County; Leroy McQuay of Jonesboro; daughters, Jean Lee of Bono; Sue Jacobs of Jonesboro; Earline Whybourn, Shelby McQuay and Martha Wood all of Dallas, Texas; Lisa Rich of Batesville, Arkansas; sisters, Nara Gardner of Washington State and Virginia Caples of Bono; 35 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 31, 2012, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Reverend Rick Hart officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery with Leroy McQuay, Roger McQuay, Paul McQuay, Paul David McQuay, Travis McQuay and Ryan Johnson serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 5 – 7 on Friday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
