Blair Hubbard

Margaret Blair Hubbard was born December 26, 1980 in Selma, Alabama, and passed into the arms of her Heavenly Father on Friday, March 5, 2021 in Denver, Colorado.

Blair was a 1999 graduate of Jonesboro High School where she was in the National Honor Society, a cheerleader, and dance team member.  She was also a foreign exchange student to Australia during her sophomore year.  Blair graduated Cum Laude from Arkansas State University in 2003 with a degree in Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences.  She later completed her Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, graduating from Grand Canyon University.  She was frequently asked to speak at seminars not only in Colorado, but also other states about her own journey with opioid addiction and her road to recovery.  At the time of her death she was employed as a counselor at CeDAR – Center for Dependency Addictions and Rehabilitation in Denver.

Blair is survived by her parents Ted and Lyn Hubbard of Jonesboro, AR, a sister Meg Hubbard Williamson (Andrew) and their children Finn and Ian of Cullman, AL, and a brother Matt Hubbard (Lillie) and their children Hudson and Haley of Rogers, AR.  Additionally, she is survived by her Aunts Lois Hubbard Lucas (Glen) of Montevallo, AL, Jean Moseley Massey (Joe) of Selma, AL, Margaret Moseley Hudson (Bobby) of Hoover, AL, and an Uncle Bob Moseley (Ann) of Sardis, AL.  She is survived by numerous cousins, as well.

Blair was preceded in death by her Aunt, Janet L. Moseley, her grandparents Dr. Sam and Dot Moseley all of Selma and Lance and Elizabeth Hubbard of Montevallo, AL.

Blair was a sweet, friendly soul who loved her family and friends fiercely.  She had a quick wit and contagious laugh and was always a champion for the underdog. She will be greatly missed by so many.

A visitation will be held at Emerson Funeral Home on Friday, April 16, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.

Graveside services will be held in Montevallo, AL on Saturday, April 24, 2021.
