Billy Wayne Smith

Billy Wayne Smith, of Jonesboro joined his beloved wife in Heaven on July 23, 2020.

He was born November 3, 1931, to the late Bynum B. and Ester Hess Smith in McCrory. He married the love of his life, Doralea Floyd on January 25, 1951.

He was a local author, retired appraiser, realtor, and former owner of Bill Smith’s Furniture and Western Auto Stores.

He was a faithful member of the Valley View Church of Christ where he served as an elder. He also, previously served as an elder at Southwest Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents Bynum B. Smith and Ester Hess Smith, one son, David Wayne Smith and his wife Doralea Smith.

He is survived by his daughters, Vickie Stanley of the home, Christie (John) Wallace of Plano, Texas, daughter in law, Lisa Smith of North Lake, Tahoe, one son, Perry (Dawn) Smith of Jonesboro, grandchildren, Brian (Amy) Stanley of Jonesboro, Krista Thomas of Jonesboro, Jonathan Wallace of The Colony, Texas, Jeremy Wallace of The Colony, Texas, Austin (Madison)  Smith of Lone Tree, Colorado, Amy Smith of North Lake Tahoe, California, Jessica (Chad) Holland of Paragould, Emily Smith of Jonesboro, Barrett (Emily) Smith of Little Rock, Arkansas, Morgan (Sara) Smith of Warren, Michigan, and 17 great grand children.

There will be a celebration of life, Sunday September 20, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. at the Valley View Church of Christ.

Lasting Memorials and donations can be given to Crowley’s Ridge Academy or Valley View Church of Christ building fund.

He will be greatly missed!
