Billy Joe Myatt, 72, of Jonesboro, Arkansas died Tuesday at his home. He was a Christian and a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Riceland Foods as the Parts and Inventory Supervisor. He worked there 42 years.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Theda, of the home; one son, Kevin Myatt and wife Erica of Roanoke, Virginia; one sister, Kathren Lipps, of Byron, Illinois; and a grandson, due in January.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Polly Crider Myatt and two brothers Walter Myatt and Lloyd Myatt.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Marion Stringer officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Forest Cemetery at Black Rock, Arkansas. Visitation will be from noon until service time.
Active pallbearers will be Gary Holland, Gary L. Holland, James Hansen, Clay Rains, Mark Mouzy, and Royce Stewart.
Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Rorex, Mike Gray, Bill West, and Danny Yarbrough.
