Billy Collis McNatt, aged 86, of Jonesboro, peacefully passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024, surrounded by his family at his home. Born on February 10, 1938, to the late Collis and Aline McNatt, Billy's life was a tapestry of service, passion, and familial devotion.
Billy served his country with honor, dedicating six years to the National Guard. He was a member of the Higher Trails Cowboy Church in Greene County.
A man of varied interests, Billy derived great joy from hosting the McNatt Brothers Rodeo, tending to his horses, and immersing himself in the tranquility of fishing, farming, and gardening. An avid outdoorsman, he reveled in the thrill of deer and quail hunting, among other pursuits.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Alvin McNatt and Curt McNatt.
Billy is survived by his cherished wife of 64 years, Linda McNatt, his son Wayne (Jannie) McNatt of Jonesboro, and his sister Freda Couch, also of Jonesboro; his grandchildren, Terry (Michelle) McNatt and Nisha (Allen) Gulley, as well as his great-grandchildren, Terron (Katie) McNatt, Steven Gulley, and Stephanie Gulley, and his great-great-grandchild, Wesley Wayne McNatt; numerous nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends.
Friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation on Monday, April 29, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Emerson Memorial Chapel. A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Paul White, will follow at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Pine Log Cemetery. Terry McNatt, Terron McNatt, Ethan Hazelwood, Dennis Bracey, Ted McNatt, and Allen Gulley will serve as active pallbearers.
