Billy E. Mccain

Billy E. McCain, 87, of rural Greene County, passed away Monday, March 13, 2017, at Greene Acres Nursing Center in Paragould.

Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Billy lived most of his life in Greene County. He retired from General Electric Corporation in Jonesboro and was a U.S. Marines Corps veteran of the Korean War. Billy was a member of Liberty Church of Christ and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Sheets McCain, son, Billy E. McCain, Jr., parents: Bill and Vina Walker McCain, and a brother, Charles McCain.

Survivors include 2 daughters and sons-in-law: Paula and Roger Jones and Vickie and Jim White, all of Paragould;

1 brother, Marvin McCain of Trumann;

7 grandchildren and their spouses: Dustin and Amy Jones of Jonesboro, Jennifer and Clint Harris, Andrea and Ronnie Adamson, Susan and Chris Duty, and Britney and Todd Boyd, all of Paragould, Kyle and Keyla Osswald of Woodstock, Georgia, and Zachary McCain of Brookland;

12 great grandchildren: Ryan Adamson, Kallie Adamson, Tanner Duty, Aiden Duty, Kamden Duty, Case Boyd, Blakely Boyd, Samuel Harris, David Harris, and Levi Harris all of Paragould and Juliet Jones and Jett Jones, both of Jonesboro; and

1 great, great granddaughter, Raelyn Adamson of Paragould.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at Liberty Church of Christ, 5480 Highway 351, Paragould, AR 72450, with Andy Warren officiating.

Visitation will be 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.

Pallbearers include grandsons Clint Harris, Dustin Jones, Ronnie Adamson, Todd Boyd, Chris Duty, Zachary McCain and Kyle Osswald.

For lasting memorials, the family asks that consideration be given to the Paragould Childrens Home, 5515 Walcott Rd., Paragould, AR 72450.

Lastly, the family wishes to extend a Special Thank You to the Greene Acres Nursing Home family and staff for the exceptional care given to Billy during his stay there. All acts of kindness are appreciated.
