Billy Lee Wheeler, Sr., 65, of Paragould, died Wednesday at St. Bernards Medical Center.
Born in Paragould, Billy lived several years in Jonesboro before moving to rural Paragould 9 years ago. He was a truck driver for Federal Express and a U.S. Army veteran.
He was a member of the Church of Christ and was preceded in death by his parents: Clennie and Ida Agnes Thurman Wheeler; by 2 sisters: Mildred Pearson and Betty Wheeler; and by an infant daughter.
Survivors include:
His wife: Henrietta Stevens Wheeler of the home;
3 Sons: Billy Wheeler, Jr. of Paragould, and
Michael Harrison and
Jeff Wheeler, both of Jonesboro;
3 Daughters: Toni Dixon,
Lisa Wheeler, and
Sandra Gartman, all of Jonesboro;
1 Step Son: Jeff Chandler of Greensboro, North Carolina;
3 Sisters: Jackie Golden and
Mavis Holmes, both of Jonesboro, and
Mary Fowler of Pine Bluff; and
11 Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 at Emerson Memorial Chapel in Jonesboro with Bro. Terry Gage officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5-7 at Emerson Funeral Home.
