Billy Heath

Billy Heath, 82, of Jonesboro passed from this life Monday, April 11, 2016 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born June 6, 1933 in Jonesboro to the late Ray and Clara Heath. Billy grew up on a farm and continued to farm for his entire life. He was a member of Rogers Community Church. Billy loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also enjoyed traveling and worshiping at church.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Andy Heath, Hugh Heath, Jackie Heath and 2 granddaughters, Lisa Lamkin Murray and Miranda Heath McLain.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Flora Heath of the home; 2 sons, Gene (Julia) Heath, Greg (Pam) Heath; daughter, Joyce (Roger) Lamkin; brother, Bobby (Flo) Heath; 4 grandchildren: Brennan (Heather) Heath, Brandon (Ashley) Heath, Rodney (Gretchen) Lamkin, Brittney (Chris Hillegas) Heath and 8 great grandchildren: Logan, Hallie, Nathan, Aiden, Bryer, Keegan, Fenton, and Morgan all all of Jonesboro.

Funeral service will be Friday, April 15, 2016 at 10:00 am in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Jim Hillyer officiating. Burial will follow in Nettleton Cemetery with active pallbearers being Greg Heath, Brennan Heath, Brandon Heath, Nathan McLain, Rodney Lamkin and Logan Murray. Honorary pallbearers include Roger Lamkin and Gene Heath.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00-7:00 pm in Emerson Memorial Chapel.
