Billy Gene New, Jr.

Billy Gene New, Jr., 43, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, died Friday evening in Jonesboro of natural causes.

Born in Memphis, Billy moved to Jonesboro in 1972. He was a restaurant employee and a member of First Assembly of God Church in Jonesboro. He was preceded in death by a sister: Carol Ann New, in 1981.

Survivors include:

His Wife: Donna New of Jonesboro;

1 Son: Justin New of Brookland;

1 Daughter: LaCole Reed of Jonesboro;

2 Step Sons: Bradley Nation, and
Timothy Mildice, both of Jonesboro;

2 Step Daughters: Viola Veteto, and
Christina Morales, both of Jonesboro;

His Parents: Billy, Sr. and LaViece Welch New of Jonesboro;

2 Sisters: Linda Rogers of Walnut Ridge, and
Valerie Hall of Seminary, Mississippi;

His Grandmother: Hazel Welch of Leachville; and

5 Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:00 at First Assembly of God in Jonesboro with Rev. Michael Glover officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Springs Cemetery near Harrisburg.

Pallbearers include: C.J. New, Darren Rogers, Cleatus Rogers, Stephen Richardson, Ronnie Richardson, and Justin New.

Visitation will be held Sunday evening, 5-7, at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
