Billy Joe Gean

Billy Joe Gean, 75, of Jonesboro died Monday June 24, 2013 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born in Marked Tree, Arkansas on November 15, 1937 to Onie Carl and Henrietta Jones Gean and had lived in Jonesboro since 1982. Billy was a carpenter, loved fishing, camping and a Baptist.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his wife; Carolyn Gean, brother; Larry Gean and sister; Winnie Lewis.

Survived by his sons: Tim Gean (Diana) and David Gean (Stephanie) all of Jonesboro.
Daughters; Karen Hunter (David) of Meansville, Georgia and Cherie Sheehan of Rossville, Tennessee.
Brothers; Chuck Gean and Donnie Gean both of Tyronza, Bobby Gean of Iowa and Ronnie Gean of West Memphis.

Sisters; Mary Lou Cornell and Tootsie Eakers both of Iowa, Connie Gean of Wisconsin and Charlotte Massey of Greenbrier, Arkansas.

Grandchildren; Joseph Frazier, Angela Frazier, William Gean, Brent Gean, Mason Sheehan and Austin Gean. Great Grandchildren; Chase Frazier, Bridgett Frazier, Blake Frazier and Luke Frazier.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday June 27, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Don Martin officiating. Burial will be at Tyronza Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.

Active pallbearers will be Don Hancock, William Gean, Brent Gean, Joseph Frazier, Angela Frazier and Brandon Gean.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mason Sheehan, Chase Frazier and Austin Gean.

Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until service time on Thursday June 27, at Emerson Funeral Home.
