Billy F. Garner, 78, of Lake City died March 6, 2015 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis, TN. He was born March 22, 1936 in Beech Grove to the late Carl and Hester Garner. Billy was a lifelong resident of Northeast Arkansas and spent over 70 years in the Dixie community where he was also of the Methodist belief. Billy spent his life as a farmer, land owner, and cotton ginner. He also loved hunting, fishing, and drinking coffee. While Billy enjoyed spending time at coffee shop, he loved to argue while he was there.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his wife: Ann Garner of 57 years; one brother: Edsel Garner; and one sister: Maxine Walters.

Billy is survived by one son: Gregg (Shelia) Garner of Dixie; two grandchildren: Ashley Ann (Josh) Baker of Jonesboro and Aaron (Kristin) Garner of Paragould; one great granddaughter: Abigail Ann Baker; and several loving nieces,nephews,cousins,and friends.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday March 8, 2015 at Emerson Funeral Home.

Reverend Chris Hemund will be officiating with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Active Pallbearers will include Len B. Nall, Blake Robertson, Bo Ginger, Mike Huffman, Leonard Nelson, and Ted Maybry.

Honorary pallbearers will be Vernon Sims, Robert Box, Bob Huffman, David Pearson, and the Paragould Coffee Shop group.

Service and burial will be Private.
