Billy "Bill" James Goodman, 65, of Jonesboro, passed away Thursday, September 12, at the Phil and Flo Hospice House. Bill was born September 25, 1947, in Muncie, Indiana and moved and lived in Jonesboro for 40 years.
He was a Master Plumber and retired from St. Bernard's. He was an avid softball player and was a member of USSSA Softball. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dexter & Volena Goodman and one brother, Donnie Goodman.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon (Etter) Goodman, two sons, Jeffery (Gail), and Jason, of Jonesboro, one daughter, Stacy Goodman of Dunkirk, Indiana, four grandchildren, Nick, Jade, Magen, and Jeffery, one great-grandson, Aydenn, three brothers, Jack (Betty), Ronald (Kandi) of Indiana, Terry (Kathy) of Texas, four sisters, Alma, Peg, Debbie (Greg) of Indiana, and Sandra (Henry) of Florida.
Visitation will be Saturday at Emerson's Chapel from 10a.m. -12 p.m., funeral services at 12 noon with Bro. Gary Brown officiating. Burial will be at Pine Log Cemetery with Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
Pallbearers will be George Coons, Justin Etter, Jeremy Nicholson, Steven Etter, Billy Lee Yarbrough, and James Morrow.
