Billie Earl Stringer

Billie Earl Stringer, 68, of Jonesboro passed from this life September 6, 2022 at St. Bernards Medical Center. He was born here in Craighead County to the late John and Georgia Stringer on October 20, 1953.

Billie resided his entire life in the Craighead County area. He was an avid fisherman and a collector of various items. Billie worked several years at the North Hills Country Club as the maintenance grounds keeper. He also loved watching and listening to Elvis Presley. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching the tv sitcom, In the Heat of The Night.

In addition to his parents, Billie is preceded in death by his brothers, Harold Stringer, Steve Stringer, and Thomas Ray Stringer; and sisters, Flora Mae Sullins and Sandra Stevens.

Billie is survived by his wife, Gail Stringer, of the home; brother, Preston “Pete” (Barbara) Stringer of Bay; and three sisters, Rose Nanney, Mary Helen Bradley, and Carolyn Carnell all of Jonesboro.

A graveside service will be at 2pm Friday, September 9, 2022 at Oaklawn Cemetery.
