Billie Marcelle Price

Billie Marcelle Price, 87, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2011 in her home.

She was born in Jonesboro on September 16, 1923 to the late Bill and Edna Williams.
She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was also active in Garden Club and Needlepoint Club.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Dr. Edwin Fletcher Price. She is also survived by two children, Beth Christl and James Standing; 5 step children, David Price, Sharon Price, Rebecca Price, Daniel Price and James Price; one daughter-in-law Anne Standing; one son-in-law Ed Christl; and 3 grandchildren, Paul Standing, Lorraine Price and Annalise Price.

A memorial service will be held at Emerson Memorial Chapel on Monday at 11:30 a.m. with the Reverend Bruce Tippit presiding. Burial will be private.

Visitation will be held Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Emerson Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that consideration be given to the Alzheimer’s Association.
