Billie Mead

Billie Gatlin Mead, 85, of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed away on June 6, 2016 at Methodist Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee with her family at her side. Billie was preceded in death by her husband, Tullos Mead. Born March 8, 1931 in Weiner, AR Billie attended Arkansas State University.

She was an active member at First United Methodist Church in Jonesboro. She loved playing golf and traveling with her late husband. She enjoyed volunteering at Helping Neighbors Food Pantry. While we sometimes suspected she loved desserts more than anything in life, we know she loved her family and her late husband Tullos the most.

Billie is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lesa and Bob Rowe of Memphis, TN; her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Jimmy Briggs of Marion, AR; and her three grandchildren, Schaefer Rowe, Meri Rowe and Dave Briggs.

A graveside service will be held at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery on June 8, 2016 at 1:30pm with Rev. John Miles officiating. Emerson Funeral Home in charge.
There will be no visitation.
