Billie Lois Barkley

Billie Lois Barkley, 79, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, December 31, 2008, at Skil Care Nursing Center in Jonesboro.

Born in Trumann, Billie lived most of her life in the Jonesboro area. She was a retired sales clerk in the clothing profession and was a member of Cathedral Baptist Church.

She enjoyed yard work and gardening, and was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest “Tood” Barkley; her son, Rickey Barkley; her parents: Frank and Dollie Brewer; and by two brothers: Roy Brewer and Raymond Brewer.

Survivors include:
2 Grandsons: Barry Barkley and Rickey Barkley II, both of Jonesboro;

2 Granddaughters: Jeanie Hendrix of Blue Springs, Missouri, and
Ashley Barkley of Jonesboro;

4 Great Grandsons: Luke Barkley, Drew Barkley, Jake Hardin and Josh Hardin.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Doug Welborn officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Saturday morning, from 10:00 until service time in the chapel.
