On this day, December 8, 2018, our precious mother Billie “Jean” Fitch Haley went to heaven, and is now running, skipping around, laughing, and no longer suffering.
She was born in Ola, Arkansas on November 6, 1931, and raised in Dardanelle, Arkansas, where she graduated from high school.
She lived her life believing and loving the Lord and was of the Baptist faith. She had two precious daughters, whom she adored. She spent over 30 years as a Diamond Specialist and Fine Jewelry Consultant in Arkansas, with over 20 years working for Oxford Jewelers in McCain Mall, in North Little Rock, Arkansas.
She worked up until her late 70’s, just because she enjoyed it. She loved walking around in the mall talking and meeting people and making new friends. She was a very kind, loving, and caring person, and so many younger people that worked with her called her “Ms. Jean” or “Momma Jean”. She was loved by so many.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Jewell Fitch of Dardanelle, Arkansas.
She is survived by her daughters, Lourindia Haley Rufkahr and Tiana Haley. Grandson’s Jason and Adam [Krystal] Rufkahr, and a great-grandson, Cole, all of which are from the Jonesboro, Arkansas area.
Funeral arrangements will be with Emerson’s Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Arkansas. A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
