Bill Richerson, 75, of Jonesboro died Thursday, December 18, 2014 at his home. He had lived in Jonesboro for 40 years, moving here from Chicago. Bill was a member of North Main Baptist Church. He retired from Arkansas Glass Company. Bill was a great dad, loving husband and loved to fish. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mossie And Birdie Pearl Richerson; brothers, Frank Richerson, Mossie Richerson Jr.; sisters, Annie Lou Brown and Grapple Pittman.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Emma, of the home; son, Russell Blake Richerson, of the home; daughter, Tammy Sydorenko; son-in-law, Yarema Jeremy Sydorenko both of Jonesboro; brother, Hermon Richerson; sister –in-law, Christene Richerson of Walnut, Mississippi; sister, Ruth Martindale of Walnut, Mississippi; grandson, Logan Alexander Sydorenko; nephews, Jim Pittman, Jack Pittman, Ronnie Richerson, Ricky Martindale, Ricky Richerson, Todd Leland Brown Jr., Butch Yielding, Craig Baker, Bryant Baker, Bob Baker, David Baker, Tommy Baker, Jimmy Baker, Michael Baker, Richard Baker; nieces, Dianne Baker, Judy Baker Clark, Pamela Brunson, Margie Masterson, and Bonnie Goodman.
Funeral services will be 2:00 Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Albert Camp officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will be at Oak Lawn Cemetery with Logan Sydorenko, Matthew Webster , T. J. Clay, Yarema Sydorenko, Jordan Easley, and Tyler Whitson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Dr. Darrell Ragland, Dr. Michael J. Smith, Dr. Khalil and Staff, Dr. John Lynch, Dr. John Allgood and the Saint Bernard’s Medical Center Radiation/Oncology staff. Visitation will be from 5-7 Saturday night at Emerson Funeral Home.
