Bill Eugene Erwin

Bill Eugene Erwin, 73, of Jonesboro, died Friday at St. Bernards Medical Center.

Born in Shelbyville, Arkansas, Bill lived in Walnut Ridge and Marked Tree before moving to Jonesboro in 1969. He was retired from Barton Lumber Company with 35 years of service and then worked 8 years for Wal-Mart in Jonesboro.

Bill was a member and former Deacon of Southwest Church of Christ and was a veteran of the U.S. Army and Arkansas National Guard.

Survivors include:

His wife of 47 years: Regina Erwin of the home;

1 Son: Barry Erwin of Jonesboro;

1 Daughter: Karen Erwin of Jonesboro; and

1 Sister: Christine Asbury of Strawberry.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Jimmy Adcox officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Sunday evening, 5-7, at Emerson Funeral Home.
