Bill Cecil

William “Bill” Cecil, 53, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at NEA Baptist Hospital. He was born to the late Kenneth and Reeda Cecil in Evergreen Park, Illinois on March 12, 1968, He attended church at First United Methodist Church of Manilla. Bill was a truck driver for 32 years working for several companies over the years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and making people laugh. In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by his brother, Kenny Cecil.

Bill is survived by his wife of 26 years, Teresa Cecil of the home; sons, Andy Cecil (Amanda) of Portageville, Missouri and Tanner Cecil of Jonesboro; brothers, Keith Cecil (Christina) of Taylorsville, Kentucky and Chuck Cecil (Sharon) of Jonesboro; sister, Laura Milburn (Stevie) of Taylorsville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jacob Cecil and Sierra Cecil.

The visitation will be held from 12:30-2 p.m. on Saturday afternoon prior to the service.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Emerson Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Sutfin officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Log Cemetery with the active pallbearers being Donnie Edge, John Wilson, Jonathan Decker, Tanner Brewer, Keith Campbell, and Mike Curtner.
