Beverly Kamrud Thorsgaard

Beverly Kamrud Thorsgaard passed away Monday, August 24, 2020 in Jonesboro, Arkansas with her son, his wife and her dear friend Jeff by her side. Beverly Deanne Kamrud was born on March 15, 1949 at Bottineau, N. D. to parents Irvin and Stella (Monson) Kamrud. She grew up on the Kamrud farm North of Bottineau. She graduated from Bottineau High School in 1967.

Beverly was married to John Thorenson at Newburg, N.D. To this union two children were born. Melissa in 1969 and Daniel in 1973. They lived at Hurdsfield, N.D. where John managed a grain elevator. Beverly later married Rod Bender they lived at Harvey, N.D. where she worked and managed Havit Services.

Beverly moved to Albuquerque New Mexico and married Marlin Thorsgaard and worked and managed BeeHive Homes nursing home. Marlin passed away in 2004. Bev continued to reside in New Mexico until her health began to fail and she moved to Kansas in 2017 to be near her son. Collecting antiques was a passion of hers that she perhaps inherited from her father. She loved working with the elderly as her career choice. She had a great sense of humor and an infectious smile.

She was preceded in death by her father Irvin, ex-husband John Thorenson, husband Marlin Thorsgaard and sister Sharon Haakenson.

She is survived by daughter Melissa Thorenson of Bismarck, ND and son Daniel (Becky) Thorenson of Independence, Kansas. Her grandchildren Ashley, John, Jesse, Gavin, Zackary, Dakota and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother Stella Kamrud of Carrington, ND, sisters Marlys (Chet) Habberstad of Underwood, MN., Patty (Rick) Hegvik of Carrington, ND, brother Earl (Carlette) Kamrud of Bottineau, ND and a brother in law Dennis Haakenson of Bottineau, ND as well as many nieces and nephews. Her dear friend Jeff Meyers.
