Beverly "Bev" Thomas

Beverly “Bev” Thomas, 57, of Jonesboro passed from this life Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at St. Bernards Medical Center. She was born December 14, 1957 in Rockford, Illinois to the late Henry and Virginia Nelson. Bev was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed anything outdoors including flowers and camping. Bev loved to cook, but most of all she loved spending time taking care of David and the grandkids. She also loved spending time with other family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Bev was preceded in death by one daughter, Davita Moody; brother, Ronnie Nelson; sister, Ruthann McKee and a great niece Brittany Cross.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, David Thomas; daughter, Tomazene “Tommie” Payton; brother, Ray Nelson Sr.; sisters, Regina Freeman, Hester “Sis” Hutton; grandchildren: Courtney Thomas, David Hunter Thomas, Summer Nicole Moody, Haylee Payton and one great grandchild, Nathan Thomas.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 3, 2015 at 12:00 pm for family and close friends at the home.
