Beverly Lacey, 91, of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She has lived in Jonesboro since 1998, moving here from North Little Rock. Beverly was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Jonesboro. She attended the University of Kentucky before transferring to the University of Maryland where she received her degree in sociology. While in college she was very active in the Tri-Delta Sorority. Beverly worked for rehabilitation services for many years before becoming a counselor for the Arkansas Spinal Cord Commission. She was also an avid dog lover. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lynn Babb; her parents and one brother.
Survivors include her daughter, Nanette Heard (Ron) of Jonesboro; son, Mark Lacey (Becky) of New Orleans; grandchildren, Shelby Lacey, Heather Heil, Terry Babb; and three great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11:00 Friday, December 20, 2013, at the First United Methodist Chapel with Reverend John Miles officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 10:00 until service time in the church atrium. Burial will be private.
