Beverly Diane Chedister

November 18, 1969 — October 12, 2025

Jonesboro, Arkansas

It is with love and gentle sorrow that we celebrate the life of Beverly Faries Chedister, who passed away peacefully October 12th, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Though her absence leaves a deep ache in our hearts, we take comfort in knowing she is free from pain and at peace.

Beverly was born on November 18, 1969, in Kennett, Missouri to Wayne Faries and Wilma Guiltner.

From her earliest days, she radiated quiet strength and a kind, giving spirit that would become her signature throughout life. She was preceded in death by Bill and Isie Faries, her Paternal Grandparents; Enos and Flossie Pollard her Maternal Grandparents; sister, Donna Wrather; daughter, Alysia Chedister; her in-laws, Richard and Patricia Chedister.

Beverly was the first grandchild of her maternal grandfather, Enos Pollard, and she quickly won him over. Though he was a man who believed children should be ‘seen and not heard,” Bev changed all that. With almost daily visits, he would carry her outside bringing laughter from them both as he raised her into the low tree branches and tickled her with the leaves. It was a tender and loving bond that softened him in ways no one else could.

An introvert by nature, Beverly did not need the spotlight to make an impact. She illuminated the lives of others simply by being present — with her warmth, her laughter, and her deep capacity to love. Generous to a fault, she gave of herself without hesitation, always placing the well-being of her loved ones before her own. Until illness overtook her, Beverly was the steady, dependable foundation her family could always rely on.

Her devotion to her husband, Kevin and her children, Alysia and Katie, was the heartbeat of her life. She found joy in simple moments — cooking a favorite meal, caring for her pets, or gathering family around the table for holidays. Those times were filled with laughter, delicious food, and the love she poured into every detail.

Beverly’s striking blue eyes could look straight into your soul, reflecting a rare blend of kindness and humor that made her such a joy to be around. Her laughter was bright and contagious, and her love was steady and unconditional. She gave comfort without judgment, and her presence made any space feel like home.

Survivors include her husband, Kevin Chedister; daughter, Katlyn Chedister of the home; her mother, Wilma Guiltner (Glennis) of Imboden; father, Wayne Faries of Kennett; sister, Stacey Goodman (Jack); Kerri Faries, all of Paragould; brother-in-law, Rodney Chedister of Jonesboro, and a host of loved ones and friends.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held, Monday, October 20, 2025, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 1:00 until service time. Burial will be private.

Though Beverly’s journey on this earth has ended, her love continues to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. Her spirit is still a quiet light — gentle, enduring, and filled with grace. To sign an online guestbook, go to emersonfuneralhome.com.
