Bettye Reaves Darter

Bettye Reaves Darter, 72, of Jonesboro, died Monday, October 29, 2012, at her home. She had lived in Jonesboro since 1999 moving here from Fisher, Arkansas. Bettye was a member of Central Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Home Demonstration Club, a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents. R. Dale and Faye Reaves; one sister, Jane Reaves Martin.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, John Darter, of the home; son, Greg Darter (Lori) of Coppell, Texas; daughter, Dana Darter Boyster (Sam) of Little Rock, Arkansas; brother, Charles Reaves of Rogers Arkansas; sister, Rebecca Simmons of Rector, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Thomas Boyster and Will Boyster.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro with Mike Martin officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at Fisher Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be from 12:30 until service time on Thursday.
