Betty Ann Walker

Betty Ann Walker of Jonesboro, departed this life on November 8, 2023 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House at the age of 69. She was born on May 27, 1954, in Jonesboro, to her parents, Marvin and Monalie Pruitt.

Betty was of the Pentecostal belief and was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Church. She worked as a registered nurse at St. Bernard’s Hospital and also as a home health nurse for St. Bernard’s. Betty enjoyed riding in boats and loved spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Johnny Walker. She is also survived by 1 brother Johnny Pruitt and wife Sheila; 1 sister, Janet Hart and husband Calvin; 2 brothers-in-law, Kenny Walker and wife Sharon and Ernie Walker; 5 sisters-in-law, Teresa Russell and husband Dale, Glenda Rusher, Debbie Hughes, Pat Murphy, Diana Wilkerson; 2 nieces, Christin Hart and Pamela Whittaker and husband Michael; and many great nieces and nephews.

Funeral service for Betty will be held at Emerson Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 10 AM officiated by Bro. Bradley Robinson. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 5 to 7 PM at the Emerson Funeral Home Stateroom. Interment will take place at Philadelphia Cemetery following the service.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Tony Robinson, John Pruitt, Paul Eastworth, Larry Wilkerson, Kenny Walker, and Floyd Walker.
