Betty Sue Thornton

Betty Sue Reeves Thornton, 85, of Jonesboro, passed from this life on Sunday, February 27, 2022, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.

Born at Bowman in eastern Craighead County, Betty lived most of her life in Harrisburg before moving to Jonesboro a few years ago. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andy Mack Reeves; daughter Susan Perrion; parents: Homer "Boss" and Eva May Brown Vaughn; and six brothers: Dean, Vance, Jimmy Hoytt, Willard and Ellon Vaughn.

Survivors include 1 son and his wife, Ron and Joyce Reeves of Vernon Hill, Virginia;

1 sister, Nell Osment of Flint, Michigan;

4 grandchildren:  Josh Reeves of Vernon Hill, VA, Cassidy Zuniga of Lynchburg, VA, Haley Thomas and her husband Keith of Jonesboro, and Jeremy Reeves of Birmingham, Alabama; and

7 great grandchildren.

All services will be private. There will be no visitation.
