Betty Sullens

November 13, 1957 — January 20, 2016

Betty Gail Hankins Sullens, 58, of Walnut Ridge passed from this life after a long but courageous battle with cancer on January 20, 2016 with her family by her side.

Betty was born in Walnut Ridge on November 13, 1957 to the late Lester Glen Hankins and Margaret Hankins Passalaqua. She lived all her life in Lawrence county, and she worked at the Walmart in Walnut Ridge for over 24 years. She worked in every department and spent many years in management while working for Walmart. She was a hard working lady that loved her family, and was of the church of Christ belief. Her great outlook for life and her sweet and loving personality will be missed by all that knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Autumn Sullens-Couch; two grandsons, Krischan and CJ Couch all of Walnut Ridge; two brothers, JR Hankins and his wife Deb of Bryant, and Chris Hankins and his wife Tonya of Pocahontas; two sisters, Teresa Bristow and her husband Terry of Lynn, and April Smith and her husband Dean of Imboden; and a host of other family and friends.

A celebration of life drop-in will be Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 1:00-5:00pm in the former Black Rock High School Cafeteria.

In Lieu of flowers the family request that you consider making donations to the Black Rock Museum, the family or charity of your choice.
