Betty Sue Long

August 10, 1933 — October 20, 2006

Betty Sue Long, 73, of Jonesboro, died Friday morning at her home of natural causes.

Born in Lynn, Arkansas, Mrs. Long in Rockford, Illinois before moving to Jonesboro where she lived most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the County Line Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Bobby D. Long; by her parents: Riley and Vershie Powers French; by 2 brothers: Gene French and J.T. French; and by a sister: Margaret Meador.

Survivors include:

1 Daughter and Son-in-law: Lisa and John Johnson of Jonesboro;

1 Son and Daughter-in-law: Mike and Rhonda French of Jonesboro;

1 Brother: Jerry French of Tennessee;

4 Grandchildren: Daniel Foster, Joanna French, Michael Allen French and Bobbie Jo Wilson; and

4 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:00 at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Allen Ashlock officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Log Cemetery.

Pallbearers include: Steve Thomas, Luther Ingram, Odell Everhart, Kenny Polston, Eddie Johnson and Glenn Broadway.

Visitation will be held Saturday evening 6-8 at Emerson Funeral Home.
