Betty Lou Smith

Betty Lou Smith, 85, of Trumann, died on Monday, June 17, 2024, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born in Nettleton, Arkansas on April 16, 1939, to Bert and Ethel Griffin.  She had lived in Jonesboro since 2013, moving here from Yucaipa, California.  She was of the Baptist belief.  Working with arts, crafts, and in her flower garden kept her very busy.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Smith; brothers, Bennie Griffin and J.B. Griffin; sisters, Alberta Griffin, Daythel Lee, Tressie Sala, Inez Griffin.

Survivors include her brother Jimmy Griffin (Charlene); Danny Griffin (Jane) of Jonesboro; sisters, Belva Murray and Sammie Bullock of Trumann.

Graveside services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, June 21, 2024, at Pine Hill Cemetery with Curtis Shatley officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  All other services are private.  To sign an online guestbook, go to emersonfuneralhome.com.
