Betty Jean Reeves, 87, of Brookland, passed from this life on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born on March 11, 1939, in Bono to the late Roy and Maudie (Sheffield) Puckett.

Betty worked for many years as the jewelry supervisor at JCPenney. She had a love for nature and enjoyed feeding the deer and birds that visited her home. She also enjoyed photography and capturing the beauty of the world around her.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Reeves; daughter, Deborah Jo Tyler; brothers, Ed Looper and Buddy Puckett; and sisters, Louise Verdict, Margaret Ann Puckett, and Wilma Faye Puckett.

Betty is survived by her son, Errol Tyler; and her beloved nieces and nephews, Karen (Lanny) Shirley, Rhonda (Rob) Ingram, Holly Blalock, Gwen Vaughn, Chad (Tersea) Puckett, and Greg (Linda) Puckett.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 11, 2026, at Emerson Funeral Home, with a memorial service immediately following at 2:00 p.m.

Burial will be private.
