Betty L. Metz, 77 of Jonesboro, died Sunday at her residence. She was born in Kennett, Mo., and had lived in Rockford, Ill., before moving to Jonesboro in 1969. She was a Retired Administrator for the Rose Skill Care Nursing Home. She was a member of the Walnut Street Baptist Church, the Caregiver Sunday School Class and the Soul Survivors Support Group.
She was preceded in death by her husband W. Fred Metz in 2004; her parents Charles J. and Myrtle Wilburn Lemonds; Brothers, W.S. Lemonds, Revon Lemonds; and sister Iris Lemonds.
Survivors include Son, J. Keith Metz; Daughters, Diane Unger, and Nancy Lancaster, all of Jonesboro

Funeral services will be 2:00 Wednesday at Walnut Street Baptist Church with Dr. Glen Putman and Rev. Brandt Smith officiating and eulogy by Jeremy Unger, with burial to follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the Emerson Funeral Home in Jonesboro.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Caregivers Sunday School Class at Walnut Street Baptist Church and the Soul Survivors Support Group.
