Betty Jean McCain, 80, of Jonesboro, died Sunday, January 2, 2022, at St. Bernard’s Regional Medical Center. She was born in Newport, Arkansas on June 27, 1941 to Shelby Otho Riley Sr. and Violet Lee Welch Riley Gatlin. She was a member of the Nettleton Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene McCain; and brother, Gerald Riley.
Survivors include her son, David Allen McCain of Olive Branch, Mississippi; daughters, Pavada Jean Tosh and her husband Gary of Jonesboro; Cynthia Lavon Long of Tyronza, Arkansas; Elizabeth Lynne Lucy and Husband Jimmie of Southhaven, Mississippi; and Karen McCain Walker and husband Rob of Eads, Tennessee; brothers, Charles Riley and Shelby Riley Jr. of Jonesboro; Jimmy Allen Riley of Casa Grande, Arizona; sisters, Wanda Watkins of Houston, Texas; Linda Gearhart of Casa Grande; Brenda Lange of Higden, Arkansas; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
