Betty Marie Lawson

Betty Marie Lawson, 74, of Jonesboro passed from this life Monday, November 30, 2020 at NEA Baptist Hospital. Betty was born to the late Joseph and Mildread Everett on March 6, 1946 in Bath, North Carolina.

Betty has resided in Jonesboro since 1979 after spending a brief time in Harrisburg. She was a former member of Everett Crossroads Church of Christ in Bath, NC and was a current member of Lawson Road Church of Christ.

Betty retired from USPS after a long tenured career with the postal service. In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her sister, Elda Keech.

Betty is survived by her husband, Jerry Lawson, of the home; two sons, Jerry (Kim) Lawson Jr. of Jonesboro and Tim (Debbie) Lawson of Ash Flat; brother, Edward Everett of Bath, NC; sister, Janie Russ of Pantego, NC; four grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren.

All services will be private.
