Betty Lamberson

Betty Dean Lamberson, 88 of Bay passed from this life Monday, February 24, 2020 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House.  She was born April 15, 1931 to Ben and Dovie Duncan Sheets in Bay.  Betty worked as a cook at Bay School.  She enjoyed family time, working in her yard, cooking and the holidays; but most of all Betty loved an attended the Bay Yellowjacket basketball games.  She was a member of the Bay Church of Christ.  Betty is preceded in death by her parents, 4 brothers, Bo, Earl, Bud, Billy; sister, Loretta; husband of 62 years, Verlin; and son, Thomas Merritt.

Survivors include daughter, June Moody (Steve) of Bay; daughter-in-law, Jane Lamberson of Jonesboro; 5 grandchildren, April Blankenship, Ben Towery, Josh Towery, Blake Lamberson, Brett, Lamberson; great grandchildren, Brooke, Brenden, Tiffany, Kristen, Colby, Kolin and Knox.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 26, 2020 from 5-7 PM at Emerson Memorial Chapel.  Service will be Thursday, February 27, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Bro. Tim Wilkes II and Bro Marvin Rickett officiating.  Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Russell Hall, Terry Hall, Gary Lamberson, Ed Martin, Skip Hogan and Derrick Mink.  Honorary pallbearers are Coach Brad Brannen and the Bay Yellowjacket Basketball Team.
