Betty Jo Lammers

Betty Jo Lammers, 71, of Jonesboro, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 22, 2009, at St. Bernards Medical Center.

Born in Hood River, Oregon, Betty Jo lived in Pottsville, Arkansas, before moving to Jonesboro 14 years ago. She was retired from Heavy Duty Trux in Bloomfield, Missouri, and enjoyed traveling. She was preceded in death by her parents: Roy and Lura Phillips Steelman.

Survivors include her husband, Burnie Lammers of the home;

2 sons, Richard Lee Lammers of Riverside, California, and
Gary Thomas Lammers of Brea, California;

1 daughter, Judy Tworoger of Kennett, Missouri;

1 sister, Mary J. English of Springdale;

2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 10:30 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with Ray Broadway and Doug Ferris officiating. Burial will follow in McDaniel Cemetery.

Active pallbearers include: John Tworoger, Charles Lawson, Danny Lammers, Virgil Junior Lammers, Jimmy Johnson and Bill Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers include: Robert Chastain, Tim Arwood, Melvin Thomason and Jim Phelps.

Visitation will be held Friday evening, 5-7, at the funeral home.
