Betty Jane Glenn

Betty Jane Smith Glenn, 77, of Brookland, passed from this life on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.

Born in the Morton community of Woodruff County, Betty was a 1965 graduate of McCrory High School.  Following graduation she married Leon Glenn and moved to Fisher and worked several years for the Bank of Weiner. In 1995 Leon and Betty moved to Brookland where they established and operated Brookland Sales for several years before retirement.

Betty attended Potter's House Church in Brookland and enjoyed crafting and going to flea markets.  She was preceded in death by her parents, King and Mary J. Smith, a brother Jimmy Smith, and a sister Becky McKay.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Leon Glenn of the home, married July 10, 1965;

2 sons and daughters-in-law: Bryan and Mona Glenn of rural Jonesboro, and David and Ashley Glenn of rural Brookland;

2 sisters and brother-in-law:  Shirley and Gail Moore of Wynne, and Patty Weber of Minnesota; and 6 grandchildren.

All services will be private. There will be no visitation.
