Betsy L. "Shuburte" Vinson

Betsy L. “Shuburte” Vinson, 62, formally of Trumann, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House after a hard fought battle with cancer.

Betsy was born in Gilmore to the late John and Edith Ward Shuburte. Betsy is of the non-denominational belief. She gave up a chance at an acting career to be a devoted mother and foster parent. She also maintained a passion for gardening and loved to cook. She always had a smile on her face for everyone she met.

In addition to her parents Betsy is preceded in death by one brother, Tom Shuburte; and one sister Jean Whooten;

Betsy is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Robert Vinson of the home; two sons, Robert Ashley Vinson of Jonesboro, and Raymond Vail of Imboden; one daughter, Kimberly Moore of Jonesboro;
Seven brothers, Bob, Dave, Jim, Danny, Rick, Kenny, and Buddy Shuburte; two sisters, Johnnie Armstrong and Patricia Sutton;
And five grandchildren, Andrew, Wade, Zach, Lyndsey, and Ashlynn.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Emerson Funeral Home and a service on Thursday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Rick Vinson officiating.
