Bessie Roberts

Bessie Roberts, 89, of Jonesboro passed from this life on Saturday, May 16, 2015. She was born on November 12, 1925 in Agnos, Arkansas to the late Charlie and Rose Martin. Bessie was a member of the Salem Baptist Church and was very good at making pies and quilting. She loved to cook for her kids and grandkids. Bessie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.W. Roberts; brothers, Bill and Carl; sisters, Susie, LaMima, Stacy, Sadie, and Stella.

Bessie is survived by her sons, Larry Roberts (Sally) of Fayetteville and Marty Roberts (Connie) of Horse Shoe Bend; daughters, Patricia Felkins (Delbert) of Jonesboro, Ginger Sharp (Jack) of Jonesboro, and Annette Hoskins of Prosper, Texas. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.

There will be a graveside service at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at Old Baptist Cemetery in Ash Flat, Arkansas with Bro. John Hodges officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 18, 2015 at Emerson Funeral Home.
