Bertha Mae “Bert” Schoenborn, 97, of Jonesboro passed away on March 12, 2022 at The Cottages of Belle Meade in Paragould, Arkansas. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Bert was a 1942 graduate of Holy Angels Academy in Jonesboro. When she moved to St. Louis, she was the President of the Republican Women’s Club in St. Louis County during the Eisenhower/Nixon era. She was the owner/operator of the Paragould Hearing Aid service and had an office in the Indian Mall. She was an avid card player and loved spending time dancing at the Senior Citizen’s Center. She was never into computers until she discovered the Ipad. She played crossword puzzles and Jigsaw puzzles daily. Unable to get out and about during the last years, she became accomplished at using electronic items. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Schoenborn, her parents, five brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include her sons, Bob Schoenborn Jr. and wife, Maureen of San Ramon, California; Don Schoenborn of Germany; Ken Schoenborn and wife, Nancy of Granbury, Texas; Michael Schoenborn and wife, Gayle of Chattanooga, Tennessee; daughter, Marcia Graham of Jonesboro; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 Saturday, March, 19, 2022, at Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery with Thom Schoenborn, Nick Schoenborn, Steve Schoenborn, Daniel Schoenborn, Phillip Schoenborn, Ryan Shelton, Rusty Trevathan, and Jeff Puryear serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be Friday night, March 18, 2022, at Emerson Funeral Home from 5:00 until 6:30. A Rosary will start at 6:30.
