Bernice Elizabeth May

Bernice Elizabeth May, 76, of Jonesboro passed from this life Monday, April 27, 2020, at NEA Baptist Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church. She was born June 13, 1943 to the late Virgil and Irene Bennett. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Sue May, brothers, Junior, Ervin, and Roy Bennett, and a daughter in law, Lori May.

Survivors include her husband, Randil May of the home; sons, Kenneth May and Thomas (Stefani) May of Jonesboro; sisters, Wanda (Larry) Peterson of El Dorado, Freda (Robby) Powell of Jonesboro, Agnes Reader of El Dorado, and Wanda (Don) Vuncannon of Jonesboro; brother James (Denise) Bennett of Mississippi; aunt, Alene (Norman) Bennett Nix of Bay; grandchildren Matthew and Brandon May, Nikki Moreno, and Cassie Smith; great-grandchildren, Alex, Kyra, Andrew, Ian, Scarlet, Mackenzie, Trevor, Travis.

Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2020, at Potter’s Cemetery in Lepanto with Don Vuncannon officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Mark Mann, Owen Wilson, Tim Leonard, Jerry Carter, Jason Bennett and Mark Rounsavall.
