Bernice M. Kilough, 90, of Pocahontas, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, January 5, 2026. She moved from Dalton, Arkansas about three years ago to Pocahontas. She was born in Bay, Arkansas on September 30, 1935, to William “Bill” and Annie Marie Stamp. Bernice was a member of the COGWA (Church of God Worldwide Association) church where she grew her faith and her beliefs. She had an incredible artistic skill and could do amazing things with colors and prints. Gardening was another area of her expertise, her flower garden was always amazing, especially her roses. Her outgoing personality made her loved by all who knew her, and her family always felt loved and needed, and always ate well, due to her ability to provide nourishment around the family table. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by all her siblings.
Survivors include her sons, Lynn Tackett and wife Sabrina of Jonesboro; Billy Tackett of Dalton, Arkansas; daughter, Deana Barker and husband Doug; four grandchildren, Johnny, Uriah, Summer, and Josh; and 6 great grandchildren, Jenna, Jackson, Reese, Andrew, Cassidy, and Daman.
A Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 Sunday, January 11, 2026, at Emerson Memorial Chapel with Trey Shearin and Josh Barker officiating and Emerson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Burial will be at Nettleton Cemetery with Ed Barker, Adam Barker, Clark Tyson, Damin Coleman, Andrew Tackett, Johnny Tackett, and Philip Kifer serving as pallbearers.
