Bernice Hart Craft

Bernice Hart Craft, 85, of Jonesboro, died Monday morning at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.

Bernice was born January 19, 1924, in Bowman to Harry and Claude Gaines Simmons. She lived much of her life in Jonesboro and was retired from General Electric of Jonesboro where she worked 19 years. Bernice was a member of Valley View Church of Christ and enjoyed cooking for her family.

Bernice was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Hart; by her second husband, Hollis Craft; by 2 brothers, Byron Simmons and Frank Simmons; and by a sister, Louise Osborn.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Karen and Dwayne Winters of Jonesboro;

One son and daughter-in-law: Ronnie and Judye Hart of Jonesboro;

2 step daughters: Betty Klinke of Memphis and Barbara Walker of Jonesboro;

3 grandchildren and their spouses: Brandon and Courtney Winters, Holly and Brandon Buhrmester and Kristin and Jon Frego;

7 step grandchildren: Kim Inboden, Clay Inboden, Kevan Inboden, Paula Arnold, Emily Primm, Jeffrey Hogue, and Marc Hogue;

3 great grandchildren: Carter Winters, Carson Winters and Cade Buhrmester; and
Several step great grandchildren.

The family wishes to say Thank You to Bernice’s special care givers, Lois Winningham, Shirley Williams and Shelby Tate.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 in Emerson Memorial Chapel with David Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Jonesboro Memorial Park.

Pallbearers include Jon Frego, Brandon Winters, Brandon Buhrmester, Tommy Simmons, Tony Bari, Kim Inboden, Kevan Inboden, Marc Hogue, Clay Inboden and Jeffrey Hogue.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 12 noon until service time at the funeral home chapel.
