Bentley Chase Peterson

Bentley Chase Peterson, 14, of Jonesboro, departed this life far too soon on July 25, 2025. He was born on September 14, 2010, to Heather Bishop and Josh Peterson.

Bentley has lived in the Jonesboro area all of his life was going into 9th-grade at Valley View High School, where he played trombone in the band. He was a member of Highland Drive Baptist Church and was strong in his faith, with a deep love for God. He cared deeply for his family and friends and found joy in music, especially being part of the band.

Bentley is preceded in death by his grandfather, Terry Peterson; grandmother, Patty Moss; great-grandmother, Ruby Payne and a cousin, Heather Peterson.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Heather (Jesse) Bishop; father, Josh (Jordan) Peterson; siblings, Jax Walling, Jaysen Bishop, Zoe Bishop, Lillian Peterson, Saria Bishop, Lily Walling and Harleigh Rae Peterson.

A visitation will be held Friday August 1, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Highland Drive Baptist Church.

The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Johnny Hutchison officiating. Burial will follow at McDaniel Cemetery.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Josh Peterson, Jesse Bishop, Jacob Peterson, Jason Bishop, Brandon Stringer and Brandan Bakkala. Honorary Pallbearers include Jaysen Bishop, Jax Walling, Gavin Dunigan, CJ Montgomery, Dylan Powers, Clark Dallas, Nolan Ryen, Ty Greenhaw and Kayden Meredith as well as the Valley View High School Marching Band.
