Belva Bernice Henley, 79, of Jonesboro, passed away Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at St. Bernards Medical Center.
Born to George and Clara Gibbs Brown on July 8, 1929 in Humeston, Iowa, Belva lived much of her life in the Nettleton-Jonesboro area. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.
Belva was preceded in death by her parents, by her first husband: Paul Bolton; by her second husband: Ernest Henley; by 5 brothers, 5 sisters, and 1 step daughter.
Survivors include: 1 son, Bill (Devona) Brown; 1 daughter, Janice Bolton; 1 step daughter, Patricia (Buck) Carmichael; 1 grandson, Chad (Cindy) Brown; 1 step granddaughter, Amy (Brian) Files; 1 step grandson, Justin Carmichael; 1 great grandson; 2 great granddaughters; and 1 great, great grandson, all of Jonesboro, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening, 5-7, at Emerson Funeral Home. Burial will be private.
