Bee Morris

September 28, 1921 — December 26, 2009

Bee Morris, 88, of Jonesboro, died December 26, 2009 at Ridgecrest Nursing Home. She had lived in Jonesboro for 3 years moving here from Cherokee Village. She was a retired dietician who loved collecting and arranging flowers. Bee received a degree in home economics from the College of the Ozarks. In her life, she spent a tremendous amount of time serving as a volunteer for the Boy Scouts. She served as a Den Leader for many years and spent many more years training other Boy Scout leaders. She was also a member of the Home Extension having formed and founded 3 clubs; most recently the Chero-Bees in Cherokee Village

She is survived by her sons, Ian David Morris, Pocahontas, Adrian Morris, Michigan City, Indiana; brother, John C. Stuckey, Jr., Harrison; sisters Cathleen Flippo, Oklahoma City, Freda Belle Cole, Harrison; grandchildren, Kimberly Parmer, Reyne Clark, Keriann McKee, Kristin Flowers; great grandchildren, Taylor Clark and Patrick Morris.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Calder Morris; parents, John Crittendon & Velma Ora Gass Stuckey; son, Brian Deric Morris; and sister, Joan Stuckey Hill.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Andrew Episcopal Church in Cherokee Village. Dr. John C. Stuckey, Jr. and Dr. Arnold Hearn will officiate. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
