Basil Nolton Bigelow

Basil Nolton Bigelow, 73, of Marmaduke, died January 11, 2011 at his home. Born in Flint, Michigan, he had lived in Marmaduke since 1997. He loved going hunting and motorcycles; however his favorite thing to do was to spend time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his children, Robert Bigelow, Michigan, Sharon Pruett, Marmaduke, Patty Simmons, Falmouth, Michigan, Cathy Offerman, Saginaw, Michigan; brother, Butch Bigelow, Pontiac, Michigan; sisters, Lorraine Hopkins, Fenton, Michigan, Linda Owens, Byhalia, Mississippi, Marilyn Langley, Michigan; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene Bigelow; his parents, Nolton & Maravene Bigelow; and his step-father who raised him, Frederick Bigelow.

A Memorial Service will be held January 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Marmaduke Community Center with Tony Rhines officiating. Emerson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
