Barry Glenn Rook

“Barry Glenn Rook, 57, died Sunday July 5th, 2020, at his home in White Hall.

He was born November 7, 1962, in Jonesboro, AR, at St. Bernard’s Hospital, the son of Jean Rook and the late Jerry Rook.

He was a kind, sweet, and hardworking man that always had a smile on his face, ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Barry was a 1981 Highschool Graduate of Pine Bluff Highschool where he played football and basketball like his father Jerry. He then attended Arkansas State University for a couple years. He moved to White Hall in 1994, and while living there he worked at Coca-Cola serving for 35 years. He was a loving father and avid outdoorsman who enjoyed gardening. Barry would spend any spare time he had on the lake or in the woods hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Joann Rook; 2 daughters, Bailey Payne and Katlyn Rook; mother, Jean Rook; and siblings, Dana Jones and David Rook. He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Rook; brother, Jerry Rook Jr.; and grandparents.”

A visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at Emerson Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Emerson Funeral Home with Ken Stallings officiating. Active pallbearers will be: David Rook, Mark Jones, Jeremy Rook, Brett Payne, Mike Dorton, Joe Knowlton, Brandon Hancock and Jason Carson. Burial will be private.
