Barry Scott “Scotty” Davis, 52, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 15, 2013 at his home in Jonesboro.Mr. Davis was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas on January 28, 1961 and was the fourth son, of Elaine and the late Donald Davis.
He attended Nettleton High School in Jonesboro and always loved reminiscing about his friends and many days spent in the halls of Nettleton. After high school, Mr. Davis, joined National Guard to serve his country and provide for his growing family. He remained in the guard until becoming disabled in 1982.
He was an avid outdoorsman and loved spending time at his hunting land in Williford, Arkansas. He treasured every hunting adventure he encountered. From 12 point bucks to big mouth bass, he was the happiest when he was surrounded by the outdoors. He loved coming home to his family and telling those wonderful stories of the hunting trips he took or that one big bass he finally caught.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Brandi and Rodney Mullins; daughter Jennifer Crismon; daughter Christy Wall; beloved grandchildren Samantha, Ayden, Cameron, Kylie, Hannah, Kayla, and Jenna; brother Randy Davis and wife Susan; brother Danny Davis and wife Marsha of Memphis, TN.; many loved nieces and nephews; he is also survived by his mother Elaine Davis of Jonesboro, AR
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald; and brother Ricky Don.There will be a private family memorial at his favorite spot on the spring river in Mammoth Springs, Arkansas.
